SAD at the ECOSOC Innovation Fair
 The Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) serves as the central forum for discussing international economic and social issues, and for formulating policy recommendations addressed to Member States and the United Nations system. At a High Level Segment in Geneva on 4-7 July an Innovation Fair is organized on the theme, “Education For All”.It will showcase innovative practices, approaches and projects in education from around the world. A wide range of institutions, NGOs and private sector companies will take part in the Fair. SAD was also invited to present the Project “Move 4 New Horizons”.SAD and the Nepalese grassroots organization DWO are implementing an educational programme for disadvantaged out of school children in the Mid-Western region of the country. By teaching them basic reading, writing and mathematic skills in a non formal way and offering them well-guided sport and play activities, the project is taking on a holistic approach to education. The aim is not only to facilitate children's access to public schools, but at the same time to support these children, who have experienced discrimination and conflict in the past, in their psychosocial development.
