Pizza Bethlehem

pizza.jpgPizza Bethlehem focuses on nine young women of the junior B team of the Bethlehem Football Club – it depicts their every day life in school, profession and family and asks about their self-conception, their dreams, sorrows and fears.
The relation towards the unknown in ones own country is treated as well as orienting oneself in a foreign environment. The current reality of the Bernese Quarter reflects itself in the Bethlehem Football Club.

The film shows how sport can take an important role in integration. It’s appealing to all parts of the population and its language can be understood by everyone. A continuous sportive activity has positive effects not only on health but also on social cohesion, the learning process of the local language, educational success and self-confidence.

SAD successfully uses sport in many of its projects and examines thereby the relation of sport and development in Switzerland and abroad.
