Photo monitoring
 SAD is using the technique of photo monitoring
in the project "Sport and play for Lebanese children and youth affected
by armed conflict", being implemented in Bierut,
Lebanon. This
technique helps to monitor and evaluate the activities as they are carried out.
The first results are quite promising.

Changes in the Foundation Board
The Foundation Board has elected Dr. Daniela Meier as new member at this year's last board meeting. Daniela Meier studied History, Political Science and Iranian Studies in Berne and Oxford and works for Ernest & Young as a specialist for knowledge management.

Gender roles in football
Gender roles in Swiss
football are changing. An increasing number of women are getting involved in
football and are demanding that this typically male-dominated domain become more
open to women. Marianne Meier ,
project manager at SAD, was invited to discuss this topic on “Tagesgespräch” on
radio DRS 1.

Launch events EUROSCHOOLS 08
Some 90 schools took part in the four regional launch events for EUROSCHOOLS 2008. In Zuchwil, Trogen, Zürich and Geneva they visited workshops about "Fair Play Football", "Projectmanagement" and "How to use the EUROSCHOOLS webpage" and received additional informations about the project.
