New project: Cup of Heroes
Southern Africa faces a number of challenges, HIV and AIDS and gender inequity being amongst the most prevalent. Left in single-parent or parentless homes due to the epidemic, many young people become increasingly vulnerable. Risks for young women are exacerbated by the often prevailing lack of equity and awareness of gender issues in the communities. More informations on the project |

SAD and the South African organisation SCORE are partnering in
a project, using sport as a tool to achieve youth empowerment and
social transformation. While SCORE implements the project activities in
nine disadvantaged South African and Namibian communities, SAD is
responsible for assessing and evaluating its impact.
