Adrian Gschwend studied psychology and philosophy at the University of Berne and Radboud University in Nijmegen, Netherlands. Along with his studies, he was involved in research, teaching and guidance counseling at the Institute for Psychology at the University of Berne, and worked on the article “Having Faith in Individuals and Organizations” published in the handbook for Social Psychology and Communication Psychology. In 2005-2006, he was employed by the Institute for Criminal Law and Criminology at the University of Berne, for the design and evaluation of a survey regarding attitudes to criminal policy.

Adrian Gschwend has been working since January 2007 as a project manager for the project “Rebuilding Confidence: development of a basic program for the psychosocial support of AIDS orphans and other vulnerable children in southern Africa”.
