Dialogue Process with Migrants from Turkey Living in Switzerland |
|
A pilot project of three years offered migrants of different cultural, religious and political backgrounds from Turkey living in Switzerland a platform for exchange. The project was based on the assumption that migrants - due to their multifaceted transnational identities - can contribute to social change across boundaries and function as role models both in their country of origin and their recipient country. The tackled dialogue process was located at grassroots level and oriented towards key persons who had potential as multipliers. The overall aim of the project was to create a sustainable process, whereby the group becomes a model for dialogue and peaceful co-existence of different cultural and religious groups. The specific objectives were to achieve a higher degree of trust and mutual understanding among the participants and to encourage and empower them by developing their skills, capacities and know-how in order for them to become active multipliers. This publication is the final project report.
